The snowboarding industry and culture skyrocketed while innovation took a back seat.

EARLY 80s

The modern snowboarding era started. Steel edges were added to the hourglass shaped ``snow surboard``.

DISRUPTION

Cheetah Ultra Sports introduces the most technologically advanced snowboard to date. The Whip FR-TT.

TODAY

With the market dominated by just a few big players, today’s snowboards are more focused on trends than advancing the riding experience.
A BRIEF HISTORY
2018

Cheetah Ultra Sports officially puts the WHIP FR-II® in production and begins delivering to our exclusive pre-sales customers.

2015

CUS continues to push the technological barrier in snowboard engineering. We wanted to take what we have learned from the first generation The Whip and create an even faster and smoother riding board. With a clean sheet design, The Whip FR-II was created.

The FR-II features a stronger but lighter core, reshaped full-length v-shaped hull, and suspension systems capable of integrating future modular parts we have in store.

2009

The first limited run of The Whip FR-117 was featured in multiple publications including EVO, FHM, GQ, Men’s Journal, and Top Gear.

“Possibly the coolest snowboard ever built” – Top Gear

2006

It all started with one goal, to design and build a better snowboard. No rules. No limitations. It was not about lifestyle, culture, or snazzy graphics. We simply aimed to make a fast and smooth riding board.

The result was The Whip FR-117. A fast and highly maneuverable board that is free of chatter and heel to toe drag.
